Saving the life of a patient from a bleeding mass in the lung at Al Mouwasat Hospital in Dammam
A 44-year-old patient came to Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Dammam, complaining of severe coughing up blood in large quantities. He visited the thoracic clinic, and then was transferred to the thoracic surgery clinic, where Dr. Ahmed Hammoud, a consultant thoracic surgeon, made a CT scan of the chest, as it was found that there was a bleeding mass in the lobe. The lower part of the right lung with a laceration of the tissues of this part of the lung.
An urgent surgery was performed to remove the lower lobe of the right lung, and the patient was placed in intensive care under continuous follow-up by the medical team consisting of an intensive care consultant, a chest disease consultant, and a chest surgery consultant. Thanks to God, the patient was discharged from the hospital a week after the operation in good health and he returned to his daily life normally.
