Couple's Dream of Parenthood Fulfilled for the Second Time After 11 Years at Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Dammam
After an 11-year wait, the couple’s dream of parenthood was fulfilled for the second time, thanks to God and the care provided by Dr. Wadha Al-Mahawis in the Fertility, Embryo, and Infertility Treatment Unit at Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Dammam.
The couple initially visited the Fertility Unit four years ago, complaining of delayed conception and repeated unsuccessful IVF attempts at other centers. They were evaluated by Dr. Wadha Al-Mahawis, and tests revealed blood clotting factors in the wife that hindered pregnancy or its continuation, in addition to azoospermia (absence of sperm) in the husband.
A testicular biopsy was performed on the husband, and sperm were extracted and frozen with the assistance of a male infertility consultant. The wife then underwent IVF with specialized treatment protocols for the clotting factors.
By God’s grace, the couple was blessed with a daughter, and the additional embryos were frozen. After their daughter turned two, the couple returned to have the frozen embryos implanted. The wife followed specific treatment protocols for her condition, and the couple was blessed with twins, a boy and a girl.
