Mouwasat Hospital -Dammam rehabilitation and physiotherapy services are an integrated system of care that recognizes that each person with rehabilitative need has a unique set of capabilities , which must be identified and developed to the fullest, thus promoting optimal wellness. The program utilizes a specialized core of professionals who work together to provide outpatient and inpatient services and restore patients to their highest potential physically , socially , emotionally and financially.
The rehabilitation and physiotherapy department support the hospital plan for the provision of patient care services and work collaboratively with other department to enhance patient outcomes 24 hours a day /week .

Musculoskeletal disorders
- Back and neck /pain
- Shoulder, elbow, hand
- Hip, knee, ankle
- Pre- and post-surgical care

- Post-surgery total joint replacements (hip, knee, and shoulder)
- Post-surgery diagnoses related to musculoskeletal issues

Neurological disorders
- Stroke

Service Duration
- Physical Therapy session 30 - 60 minutes, which varies according to the type of patient served.
- Target Group 14 years and above
- Individualized schedules will be provided for each patient according to his or her specific needs. A typical schedule includes 2-3 sessions per week.
Inpatient services
- We provide specialized therapy to patients who require intensive rehabilitation and 24-hour medical and nursing care. You can expect 3-5 hours of therapy time per day for 7 days a week until discharge. Our staffs follow a patient-centered philosophy committed to achieving each patient's goal.
- We serve patients who are functionally challenged by impairments related to acquired disabilities, diseases, and/or injuries.
- We provide specialized care for individuals recovering from: Stroke, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic brain injury, Cancer and other Neurological and Orthopedic conditions.
Patient/Family/Caregiver education
- Education is given as per the requirement of individual cases. Utmost respect is given to patients’ literacy, gender, cultural diversity.
- In addition to excellence in patient care, the department shall create climate that emphasizes the importance of quality education as well as continued staff development and education
Insurance/Fees criteria
- The patient may utilize insurance coverage provided by his private insurance provider that includes Mouwasat Hospital. In addition, payment can be made in cash or through credit cards directly during the registration process at the reception counter.
