Rehabilitation (Physiotherapy) Department
MHK Rehabilitation Department will provide you with the most advanced evidence-based practice and clinical protocols that enable you to provide high qualified physical therapy which treats individuals comprehensively to develop, maintain and restore movement and functional ability thereby optimizing the quality of life for individuals and their families in the community and workplace.

Musculoskeletal disorders
- Back and neck /pain
- Shoulder, elbow, hand
- Hip, knee, ankle
- Pre and post-surgical care
- Pain management
- Arthritis/Fibromyalgia
- Post-surgery total joint replacements (hip, knee, and shoulder)
- Post-surgery diagnoses related to musculoskeletal issues
- Joint sprains
- Muscular strain
Neurological disorders
- Stroke
- Traumatic Brain injury/concussion
- Neuro-degenerative diseases (e.g., Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, etc.)
- Spinal cord injury
- Peripheral neuropathy - e.g. DM neuritis, facial nerve disorder, peripheral nerve injury
Peripheral lymphatic disorder
- Cases with mild to moderate lymphedema
Sports Injuries
- All sports injuries for upper and lower limbs
- All post soft tissue like ligaments tendon and bony injuries
Amputations
- For upper and lower limbs
- Prescription and design of prosthetic limbs.
Service Duration
- Physical Therapy session 30 - 60 minutes, which varies according to the type of patient served.
- Target Group 14 years and above
- Individualized schedules will be provided for each patient according to his or her specific needs. A typical schedule includes 2-3 sessions per week.
Patient/Family/Caregiver education
- Education is given as per the requirement of individual cases. Utmost respect is given to patients’ literacy, gender, cultural diversity.
- In addition to excellence in patient care, the department shall create climate that emphasizes the importance of quality education as well as continued staff development and education
Insurance/Fees criteria
- The patient may utilize insurance coverage provided by his private insurance provider that includes Mouwasat Hospital. In addition, payment can be made in cash or through credit cards directly during the registration process at the reception counter. Cash service fees will be disclosed at the time of initial visit/individuals can call the hospital unified number 920004477 for fees related information.

- Well-Equipped Male and Female Gymnasiums

Hours/Days of service
- Working Days: FROM SATURDAY TO THURSDAY
- Working Hours: From 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM & from 16:00 PM - 20:00 PM
- Exceptional: The Rehabilitation Department does not provide services on Fridays or on all National Holidays.
No show/Cancellation and Rescheduling
Mouwasat will initiate an automatic call to the patient 24 hours prior to the appointment where he/she has to choose one of the following options to press:
- Number 1 to confirm the appointment.
- Number 2 to cancel the appointment
