The successful knee joint replacement surgery of a female patient in her sixties at Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Madinah
The medical staff at Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Madinah, with Allah's aid and direction, successfully ended the agony of a lady in her sixties who was unable to walk owing to acute knee pain. In a successful procedure, both of her knee joints were replaced.
The patient came in a wheelchair to the hospital's outpatient clinics' orthopaedic department, complaining of acute knee discomfort and being unable to walk on her own at home six months previously. Following a medical checkup and x-rays, extensive arthritis was discovered in both knee joints. Dr. Ahmed Khamees, an orthopaedic and spinal surgery expert, suggested the patient have knee joint replacement surgery to recover her capacity to walk.
Following the completion of the necessary tests and consultation with anesthesiologists, both knees were replaced in the same operation. The patient was able to walk two days following the procedure and was released four days later. Following the operation, physical therapy sessions were started under the supervision of a physical therapy and rheumatology specialist.
Outpatient clinic visits revealed that the patient had entirely regained her capacity to walk on her own and could even stand up from a seated posture. Knee joint replacement procedures in the same session need advanced abilities, an integrated medical team, specialized operating room equipment, and anesthesiologists who are very efficient. This is consistent with Al-vision Mouwasat's for medical services, which is based on cutting-edge technology and accurate sub-equipment.
