The patient came to the hospital emergency room, where a CT scan and the necessary tests were immediately performed, which showed the presence of an intestinal obstruction in the small intestine, due to the stomach balloon sliding into the intestine and causing the obstruction.
Immediately, the patient was admitted to the hospital for urgent surgery performed by Dr. Ahmed Abdel Fattah Habib, Consultant in General Surgery and Gastrointestinal Surgery, where the balloon was successfully extracted through a small opening in the abdomen and the patient was transferred to the observation room for close follow-up.
Thank God, the patient was discharged on the fourth day of the operation and is in good health, and the case will be followed up in the outpatient clinic.
