Ending the suffering of a patient with heart fibrillation at Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Dammam
Thanks to God and His grace, the medical staff of the Cardiology Department at Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Dammam succeeded in ending the suffering of a female patient who was experiencing heart palpitations.
The patient, who is in her fifties, came to the hospital suffering from atrial fibrillation for several years, and her condition was unstable despite treatment. The patient underwent a catheter ablation procedure several years ago, but it failed and resulted in the development of non-traditional atrial fibrillation with a decrease in heart muscle function even with medication and after several electrical shock treatments, the palpitations continued.
Upon arrival at the hospital, the cardiology team, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Taha, a specialist in cardiac electrophysiology at Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Dammam, studied the electrical activity of the heart using three-dimensional technology, explained the procedure to the patient, and obtained her consent to perform a catheter ablation of the electrically unstable circuits in the left atrium.
Thanks to God and His grace, the procedure was successful in restoring normal electrical activity of the heart, and the patient's condition improved, allowing her to return to her normal life.
It is worth mentioning that this type of procedure is considered the most advanced in the world of cardiac electrophysiology, and it aligns with Al-Mouwasat Medical Services' vision to attract highly skilled medical professionals with precise medical specializations while providing the latest medical technologies and equipment.
