Two Consecutive IVF Procedures for a Patient with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
The dream of parenthood has been achieved for a second time for a couple under the supervision of Dr. Wadha Al-Mahawis, Consultant in Obstetrics, Gynecology, Infertility, and Fertility Surgery at Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Dammam.
The couple initially consulted Dr. Wadha for an evaluation, where the delay in conception was diagnosed as being due to Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) in the wife and low sperm motility in the husband.
After following the appropriate treatment protocols, the couple underwent IVF treatment, and the embryos were frozen as per the patient's condition. Following a special treatment cycle, the frozen embryos were successfully implanted, and the couple was blessed with a baby girl.
Two years later, the couple returned to Dr. Wadha Al-Mahawis and the fertility team to attempt implantation of the remaining frozen embryos. By God's grace, the couple was blessed with triplets (a boy and two girls).
It is noteworthy that this type of treatment relies on advanced medical technology and highly trained medical staff, in line with Al-Mouwasat Medical Services Company's vision to attract highly qualified specialists and subspecialties through the use of the latest medical technologies and equipment in this field.
